The Barn is located in Lake City, South Carolina, once one of the country’s largest tobacco markets. Today, the rural town is going through a revitalization. Major festivals like Artfields have transformed the town into a destination. The proposed design for a new cultural event center evokes the tobacco barns that once dominated the landscape. The performance hall is flexible and can be configured to serve interior and exterior events, proscenium and theaters in the round, as well as art shows and receptions.
